‘Co’ is for ...
The philosophy of design is changing at an exponential rate driven by evolving expectations and demands of the consumer, whether experiential or through social responsibility.
We are passionate about sustainability, not just as a brand, but also as individuals. We are at a pivotal point in human history now. Climate change is accelerating, and we are feeling the effects of it – in the changes to our air, sea levels and weather. The need to act to protect our planet has never been so urgent, and it is our responsibility to promote radical changes to the way we design so that we can continue to call this planet home for generations to come. Our design ethics are conscious choices with responsible procurement, experiential design, community and wellness at their core.
We underpin ourselves on the ethos that objective collaboration in design, and its delivery, is fundamental to a project’s success.
For us, collaboration goes beyond the studio, and we seek collaborations where we can be a cog in making a difference. We are supporting the St Giles Trust, a charity that empowers people held back by poverty, abuse, exploitation, addiction issues, mental health problems and crime to progress towards positive futures. Some of our team volunteered to work with the trust to design a prototype for their HQ & outreach regeneration plans. As the project progresses, we will offer work experience to their clients to introduce them to the design world and encourage a practical response to the design brief through direct engagement with those the Trust supports.
One of the cornerstones of Morpheus’ social initiatives is to give the opportunity to sectors of society that wouldn’t ordinarily have exposure to the design and build industries.
We are focused on extending these opportunities through our founding support in the start-up of a charity that will not only give undiscovered talent the introduction to our industry but then provide placement opportunities, skills and vocational training, and lifelong mentoring support to those it supports. We aim to extend this ethos from the design world into the built environment, matching disadvantaged talent and ambition with skills shortages in the design and build sectors. We are always interested and grateful for any support and advise that can be shared.

Our ethos at Morpheus is to encourage our team to spread positivity and make a difference wherever possible. Volunteering creates a sense of purpose, reduces stress, and releases happy, rewarding hormones; this helps to revitalise and realign focus within a team environment.
We have a volunteer scheme in place, allowing the team to take time out of their busy schedules to reconnect with communities and offer their support and skills wherever possible, and our staff are encouraged to put forward ideas for initiatives they’re passionate about supporting.
Upcoming volunteering events are the National Beach Clean 2021 and a careers talk for the graduating students of Quest Business School on breaking into the design industry. Follow us on Instagram for updates!
